Hi! Time for the final one of my reviews for Beauty BigBang. Today I’m showing you some of their Chameleon Glitter (or Chameleon Glitter Paillette Nail Sequins Shining Starry Nail Art Powder as the website calls them!). I’ll stick to Chameleon Flakes.

Beauty BigBang Chameleon Glitter
There are 6 colours of chameleon flakies available, I chose colour 4C which is a mix of teal and magenta (product code J2106-4C). You get 0.15-0.2g of product in a small screw-top pot, and an eyeshadow style applicator. The flakes have a tendency to float away with the tiniest breeze, so try not to sneeze or cough when the pot is open!
The website gives instructions for use, with either gel or regular nail polish. I’m using regular polish here, along with peel off basecoat.
My base colour is two coats of Makeup Gallery Stormy Blue. I seem to be using darks a lot lately! Once the base was dry, I added a coat of Ready For Takeoff, and let that dry too.
Application was very similar to the laser powder I reviewed earlier: use the applicator to pick up some of the flakes, then dab onto the nail and rub to smooth them out. Again, each nail took several dabs and rubs to get full coverage.
I sealed everything with a coat of no wipe UV top coat.
I found that these chameleon flakies were much messier than the laser powder, and tended to stubbornly cling to skin (as you can probably see from the macro!). I really did like the end effect though – it looked kind of like hammered metal, and had a great duochrome effect depending on the light. My nails felt very smooth even before topcoat.
As before, if you do the same as me and use a peel off basecoat, don’t expect them to last for long! Great for an evening out, but not for days of wear.
The Chameleon Glitter are available from BeautyBigBang, and currently cost £2.84 per pot which should last you for several full manis.
BeautyBigBang ship for free worldwide, and delivery takes between 2 – 4 weeks.
