Hello, everyone!!! Happy New Year! How did you ring it in this year?
I’m always excited when someone thinks I’m good enough to represent their brand on the web! One of the first things I wanted to review was a rose gold chrome polish. I am so loving rose gold and I’m excited it’s available in a variety of products these days.
Let me start by saying that if you want a nice foil look, you should invest in a ridge filling base coat. I do not have one, but will definitely be on the lookout for one. You can therefore see some of the natural ridges of my nails in the nail polish. The more coats you do with this, the smoother the look is. You also want to minimize brush strokes. The more you mess with it, the less smooth it will be.
For this I did 3 coats and then made a mistake. I added a top coat. This unfortunately brought out the ridges in my nails BIG time. I’m pretty sure you will either want to skip the top coat, or try a water-based top coat….another item I do not have. I did a couple of coats over the top coat and it filled in the ridges even better than before I made the top coat mistake.
All in all, I was satisfied with how this turned out. I’m really eager to see it over a ridge filled base, though. I’m sure it just gets even prettier.
